    Yank ss3200

I am finally ordering my converter I have it down to Yank SS3200 with a B&M 19000 trans cooler
My car is basically stock only has an axle back exhaut and a Lid ram air hood by TruFiber and MSD plugs and wires with 2:73 gears It will likely stay that way I just want it a little more fun to drive

I just want to make sure it is still fun to drive atound town and feel stock until I push hard on it. Am I going to like it as a dd after this upgrade?

What do they mean by 1 converter being looser than another?

It will get you a hair higher into your power band and still feel pretty stock while just driving around. Plus if you ever decide to put a small cam in you will be setup for it...don't forget you will want to get a tune for the stall too

I had the SS3600 with all the mods you have, then I upgraded to the SS4000.

So go with the 3600 at least. Talk to yank, they have a sale now!

I was afraid to go too big at first so I went with a 2,800 stall...I soon after pulled it out and went with a 4,000. Lol just trying to save you from going too small and regreting it too

The only down side with going with that size stall is that will limit the size of the cam you are going to be able to get.

Lol that's the only problem with having kids, old house and long hours at work...I never have enough time to "enjoy" the garage here lately

Some of these stalls drive looser than others, depending on the manufacture and the STR rating.
    I've driven loose 3200's and tight 3800's.

It's quite possible Durango may very well be happy with a 3200. Especially since he has 2.73 gears in the car, which works the converter harder and makes it feel looser anyway. If he has no intention of changing the rear gear soon, this may be the ticket for him. To much converter with not enough rear gear creates excessive tranny heat as well, more so than a well matched setup would.
I've run a 3400 in mine for a few years now along with the 3.23 gears, I find it perfect for a daily driver as well as fun at the track. I have no intentions of going bigger on the converter or the gear.

I'm seeing soe bad reviews on Yank converters and people saying they are switching to Vigilante an truth to that or just talk???????????????

Thanks for the support!!!! It was Mike at Yank that recommended the SS3200 and he said to go with 3:42 gears if I want to change gears and I think he said a 228 cam. Remember it' a daily diver I want to have fun with I go maybe twice a yer at the track and do like 5 runs each time
