    what does the "stuck off" condition on solenois "A" mean?

    Don't know what the problem is, but think it can also mean solenoid A performance too. Are you running the stock TC? Found this for you, don't know if it helps: www.ls2.com/boggs/a4/DTC%20P0751%205.7.htm

    It means the trans comanded the solenoid on but the gear expected did not occur more than likely its a bad solenoid I usually suggest you replace both of the shift solenoids at once they are about 30 dollars each .

    how much would it be for the whole electrical part of the trany and who do u recommend I by it from?

    Well you can buy all of it from several places on line but I really dont think thats nessesary . If I were you I would just goto the GM dealer and get the two shift solenoids and replace the trans filter and fluid while your in there,

    I had the same exact code thrown, replaced shift solenoid A. something with shift lock being off...
    take off the transmission pan, then 1 bolt... the shift solenoid pops out. $30 bucks part, 1 hr labor.
