Transgo HD2 shift kit

Hey everyone I have a 99 Z28 thinking bout putting a transgo HD2 shift kit in. I know ill need a bigger converter was going to go to a 2800-3000 stall and I know it needs some other things to make it shift properly anyone have any info on this? Any and all knowledge would be helpful thank you.

I installed a Performabuilt Level II in our car with a 3,200 stall. I should have listened to the crew on here and went with a 3,600. We street drive our car and after just a bit of driving I don't even notice the higher stall. At the track, I dropped 4/10ths in the quarter after this installation. One thing you have to be very careful of is if your car is already running an aftermarket tune. Most tuners will tweak the line pressure settings and such on A4's. If you combine this with a modified valve body, that also increases line pressure, bad things will happen. You need to back the pressure down to stock settings in the tune if the trans is modified -- ask me how I know... In any event, if your car is not tuned, a mail order tune from Frost is the way to go as he will make several adjustments to your transmission settings. With our stock trans and a Frost tune it shifted and drove so much better.

Thank you very much I'll have to look into that and see what has or hasn't been done I know it shifts pretty hard and catches great it's just not where I want it. I'll get back to you shortly.
