    Trans isssue after bigger stall

Ok, so i have an 02 SS, and the trans was built less that 8k ago. Its a 4L60E SS Mega Monster Transmission Complete Rebuild Kit that went in. Has a trans cooler, and was tuned for a 3k stall. Worked fine till i got the Tci 3500-3800 stall in. Now when i got on it its fine blows em off, shifts fine and strong, but when it shifts from 2nd-3rd on WOT it hits the limiter "pop, shift", it didn't do it before this stall, does someone know if i gotta get it re tuned, or change my shift points? Also lockup acts weird, At 80-85 mph, it will lock up but then slide up to 3800 rpm when i barley tap the gas. I know its very loose, and thats fine, just the lockup and OD going 80 is just weird.

Trans has a shift kit, and i think the line pressure is 10-15% above stock. I did plenty of passes and what not, and it was perfect right before the swap. Trans fluid is fine, i had Schaeffer's Supreme synthetic fluid in it, no problem at all, great stuff, i used about 5q of Mobile 1 ATF, Synthetic, to fill new stall and w/e was lost. I checked and it is safe to mix the 2.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

If you had tuning for the trans and then added the shift kit, the trans pressure tuning needs to come out since you are physically turning it up with the shift kit or you are going to hurt something.

If the new stall is looser than the previous, it's possible to hit the limiter on 2-3, though occasionally it's a sign of something worse to come. The lockup at 80 could be false misfires causing unlock; that's common too.

Contact your tuner and see what he has to say.

After reading frost, i think i may need a new tune and change the shift point. Cause it was 100% fine before new stall.

Car did it again, but wouldn't go into 1st of OD. Code came up of a PO757 i believe. Something to do with shift solenoid not doing something. Cleared it, and it worked! But then the car started doing it again, no code yet.. Does it when it wants. I read i need to have that code deleted by my tuner?

And someone else had this pronlem, he has the same problem as i do, but i have it with 1st gear also + the code, He said it was a servo?

When I'm on the freeway in "D" the car holds 3rd gear when I let off the throttle. When I'm on the throttle and tap the shifter forward into "OD" nothing happens - it will not upshift into 4th. BUT, when I'm in "OD" - still in 3rd gear - and I let off the gas pedal again, the RPM's fall off (just as it would/should if the car really was in overdrive - but its NOT, its still in 3rd gear when I get back on the gas).

There is also a possible mechanical cause for this. I have seen this several times on some 4L60E's. The torque converter clutch valve in the valve body wears out the bore in the VB and causes low pressure to the lock up clutch. There are service kits out there to replace the worn valve and bore. Either that out a new/rebuilt VB is needed.
    Its just another possiblity...

    It's all fixable through tuning.
