    tci super street fighter worth it?

    Another gem of craigslist cheap price (350) supposed new... hear bad things from tci though any opinions? Maybe from someone that has or had one?

    Not a bad price for a decent converter. Make sure the trans is up to the stall (condition) and use a quality fluid and it's off to the races.

    Make sure the transmission is in good mechanical condition to be able to handle the added stall speed. You are going to almost double your stock stall speed and you will be making more heat in the trans so use a good external trans cooler. Every time you do a full throttle launch you are going to put a shock on the clutch packs inside the trans. If you have any slippage at all you will need to rebuild the trans first. Good luck.

    I had a 99 with full bolt ons nd a tci 3k stall. I liked it and beat on it for about 6 months with no issues. 2 Weeks after I sold it the converter took a dump and took the Trans with it..
