stock ls1 and 3500 stall
is a 3500 stall to steep for a stock 99t/a a4.i just had my trans redone and the tech put in a 3500 insted of the 3200 i wanted.the converter is a daaco that was custom built with a lock up.

I believe you will like it !!! The locker part will keep it street able ! When you had the tranny redone, did you add the HD basket / or the beast clutch basket ? I'm still running my 4L60E with beefed up parts with a 4600 stall. Still living !!!

ya i installed all hard parts, red clutches and fare banks servos, trans go shift kit.it shifts real nice but the stall just seems too high for a stock engine.

Don't umder estamate the stock engine !!! LOL !!! Mine is stock, with alot of bolt-ons now, I'm hitting high 10's ! Alot of porting, & a valve trane / cam upgrade. ( 150 dry shot )
I started with the 3600 then went to a 4600. That's when I really started to break things !!!
Give it a try, I bet your gonna like it ! Let us know then !

I have a Y3000 coupled to 3.73 gears, and if I had to do it all over again I would have gone with a 3600 stall, the mistake is in your favor.
Good luck hooking up.
