Shifter for 98 SS
I've been trying to find a shifter for my car for about three years now, and no one seems to make a direct fit for the 4l60e. I recently spoke with one of the engineers with Hurst, and he told me that any shifter made for the 700R4 would work, but I still have to use the existing sensors on the tranny. He wouldn't elaborate, and now I'm confused. So, I call a local speed shop, and they tell me they've installed the B&M Megashifter in a '98 Camaro, but that car can possibly start in gear! (Lock out in Park?) I'm looking for someone to give me some insight into what I actually have to do to install this shifter and still retain all the features of the old shifter. Any help out there?
