    Reverse/park Please Please Help!!!!!!

I was driving home from work and when I got home I went to put my car in park and the button on top of the shifter would NOT move, I can get the car into reverse if I push down really hard on it and move it into position. Since i cant get it into park I cant get my keys out. Does anyone know what could have happened?! This car is nothing more than a daily driver. I figured yall might know what is wrong. Its a 1999 Camaro RS. Please help! Thanks alot

Take the cover off of the shift lever handle & see if the spring is jammed. The shift button will pop right out & you should be able to push the mechanism on the top of the shift lever straight down, by hand. If the top of the shift lever will not push down (after removing the handle), then something may be wrong inside the transmission.
