Need info on gears
The SS is an a4 and I think it has gears at 65-70 mph it runs about 2200 rpm,
what does everyone else's run and with what gears?Have a blessed Day.

That dose not sound right. what is the tire hight? if you use a gear calc it looks like 2.73 gears wich I have no idea what factory SS's came with but I would do a decode. On the inside of the driver door is a sticker with a bunch of random leters and numbers. Each code is only 2, 3, or 4 combos long. These are the build codes. You can write each one down and plug them into this site to see what the car came with. http://www.lonestarthunder.com/m_rpo.php
You can also go to the dealer and have them print it out I belive.

when I had 3.23s',that's the rpm vs. mph,so it looks like your A4 SS has 3.23s'(GU5 code). My current 4.56s' put me at about 3000 at a true 65mph.

I checked today because i have 3.23 gears and thats seems to be what you have. WOW I am not going to use that calculator I found anymore because it is way off. They are 3.23 gears, code on the door will confirm that.

Take it to consideration. Most people buy those raptor shift lights because the tach is horribly incorrect. Use a scan tool to see what your real RPMs are.
I know i have transmission issues too BTW

I might just pull the back cover and count to be sure. And I want to get a stall next any suggestions size and brand, prefer something that wont break the bank but reliable.

Actually My 99 Firehawk has 3.42's, and thats what a lot of the SS's came with also, if it is an SLP car. 3.42's are code GU5.
