Unhappy Lost Keys, Need to Put Car In Neutral.

Hello Everyone, this is my First time here in LS1.com ( I apologize for not Posting in the Introduction Section, Im in a bit of a Rush)
Anyways Today I'm heading out to Pick up My first car I ever bought (1997 Firebird W68 Y87 ) I left it behind in my Hometown and its been 2 Years since I've seen it and in those two years I've lost the keys to it . So Im trying to figure out is there anyway to put this car in Neutral with out Keys. I've read that there "might" be Switch under the Car by the Transmision to put it in Neutral, Is that true? or that by removing the center counsel by the shifter theres a part you can push down to go in neutral. I really dont want to remove the Drive shaft, if theres another Option.
Please any Help or Information is greatly appreciated. Thank You for your time.

You can go to any GM (Chevy, GMC, Cadillac, etc) dealer with your title, registration and your VIN Number and they can cut you a new set of keys. 4 yrs ago for me it was only $35 for the drivers.

never done it but don't see why you couldn't pop the shifter cable off and manually move it to neutral.....the problem then becomes the steering being locked. I think it would be much easier and less time consuming to just go get some keys made. Like Scott said.....take your information with you. They just need the title/registration and vin I believe and the vin will be on the title/registration plus your drivers license.

^^ Agree. No reason that won't work and certainly easy to do.
