    Installing Transgo Shift Kit

i am going to install a transgo shift kit. my question is there anything else i should get to go with it? Also i do not have the knowledge on transmissions nor do i want to take a chance at possibly screwing it up. So does anybody from the cleveland area know of any reputable but reasonable shop that would install it for me?

Tweak the tranny with a tune not a shift kit. But if your heart set on a shift kit i would reccomend a tranny cooler and change the filter while your in there.

no need to drop.....and i prefer a SK over a tune for shifting.......as long as your tranny is not failing its all good......BUT a SK wont make a bad tranny better

ahhhh....ok......the TG sep plate has better coating to prevent rust.......YES i do recomend a new one......a stock or TG.......the steel check balls wear out the plate and it can be bad enough that the balls can go thru the plate......i got a new GM plate and changed over to the plastic check balls

yes tahts it. so is this the way it should go ? CA then the steel plate that i purchased then the VB gasket? And you know i have to drill some holes to the plate should i do it with the gaskets on or just the plate? How bout the separator the car has, "the original one", do i need it? or throw it out.

CA gasket goes against the CAse and VB gasket goes against the Valve Body. The metal plate goes in between the gaskets. Drill the holes without the gaskets on. Throw the original metal plate away. You don't need it
