    I'm very frustrated

    Here's the deal...

Out on the street my camaro shifts fine, 1-2 @ 6200, 2-3 @ 6000. I go to the track and the damn thing wont shift out of 2nd, drive out to the street and it shifts fine, Put it on the starting line where it hooks and it won't shift out of second. I'm hitting the rev limiter going thru the traps in the 1/8th. The rev limiter is set at 6500. IM BAFFLED, I DONT UNDERSTAND...

I use the Hypertech 3 programmer. Shift points are set at -1 1-2 and -12 2-3. Tires @ 26" and 3:73 gears. All info is correct, i dont get it. Like I said, take it out on the street and just play around, everything does perfectly, pt it on the track and it wont shift. I'm just putting it in drive.

I know when I put my shifter in D instead of OD. My tranny shifts late.

could be a few things, mine did this also before it was rebuilt.

first the 2-3 clutch packs might be going out, of the solinoid(sp) is not holding pressure. i personally think its the 2-3 clutch pack that is wearing out in it

Have you ever heard/read why this happens? I've noticed that too. If I manually shift the car it shifts later than when it's in OD.

there are no 2-3 clutch pack. it's a band to stop the drum for 2nd and 4th gears. you have a forward, reverse, and 3-4 clutch pack.
