how can you tell if you have a high-stall TC?
Well I just got my car back from the shop not too long ago with a class 1 jasper trans. the mechanic stated he bought a jasper trans with a shift kit and slightly higher stall on the TC, but when i talked to the jasper reps they said they don't install performance TCs and if there is one in my car the warranty is voided.
my question is, can anyone describe to me how it would feel with a high-stall TC? it shifts like hell now, but that's because of all the other components. i also noticed that it seems almost confused as what gear to be in going like 10-25, where it may upshift or even feel like it's in neutral if i give it a little tap on the gas (itll just rev up then go back down, but its not slipping). oh yea and i've also caught my trans at 500 RPM at 50 MPH once when i was slowing down.

Step firmly on the brake with the car in drive and see how many rpms the motor will turn. (no movement or spinning tires)
Generally speaking it should only rev to around 1800
If it goes much higher it is probably a hi stall TC
I have been talking to TCI and they told me that a miss matched setup (stall/cam/gears) if there is a too hi stall setup for for the gears/cam the trans won't shift right.

just put your foot on the break and slowly push the gas till the car wants to push itself forward.
