Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
Gear Swap (no tune yet)
So my rear end is in bad shape and its getting a freshen up
Has 2.73s and an auburn and i'm going to a 3.55 and a torsen (till i can afford a 12 bolt)
Only thing is its probably not gonna get a tune for the next few days, no longer than a week. I know the shift points will be off but will it be bad enough to where i can't live with it for a few days?Last edited by tatertot91; 01-16-2010 at 06:49 AM.

you'll be just fine. The biggest problem you'll have is the speedo will be off by a bunch. It'll shift just fine without a tune.

I have wondered about 3.55's let us know what the 2nd to 3rd pull is like and where #3 tops out out. 3rd gear is a huge dead spot until at least 100 with 3.23's.

All a tune is going to do for that swap is correct the speedo as stated above. You'll be fine.

Do you need to re-tune after a gear swap?
