bumping limiter on 2-3 shift

Hey guys, finally back to the ls world and hopefully here to stay. Just picked up a 99 z28 thats got a few things done to it. As far as the trans, I'm told it has a tci 3000 stall and a stage 2 shift kit. I don't know what kind though. I can feel that it has a stall and it runs and drives great. My only problem is if I'm wide open between the 2-3 shift it bumps the limiter. The kid said the car was tuned for the stall and shift kit but i don't know. The tranny fluid levels good. Should I try ordering a frost tune and hope it helps or bring it into a shop? It needs a tune anyway because the cel is on because of the exhaust

sounds like it might just be a tuning issue.....where's the limiter set on it? After my stall install I bumped the limiter a couple times before I adjusted shift points.

I'm hoping it is. The kid said it was already tuned but i think hes full of it. I think its the stock limiter. around 6200-6500?

most likely it isnt tuned, just get a frost tune and you should be set

ok I'll try that. and I know it has a stall but not sure what one. The kid said it was a tci 3000 but is there anyway of checking it without pulling the trans? I know thats part of the info frost needs. Its getting 12 mpg right now to, I know I didn't get the car to save gas but I need it a little better than that lol

Your shift at VSS and shift at RPM aren't tuned correctly if it's doing this.

so a mail order tune would fix this right?

And tuning out the rear o2s would turn off my ses light right? its on right now just for the rear o2s
