BANGING TRANNY in 2nd,3rd
I already did a search on this and didnt find anything that helped. My problem is I am trying to determine if my transmission needs rebuilt. It makes a bang sound shifting into 2nd and 3rd at times (not always) and I feel it downshift kinda hard when slowing down for a stop sign etc. The transmission just feels loose and sloppy(hahaha) not tight like before. I had a guy put it on a lift and he checked motor mounts/tranny mount and they were good. Also checked around for anything loose and saw nothing wrong. The rear seemed fine cause as soon as I pushed the wheel the drive shaft turned. Has anyone ever heard a banging sound when going into different gears on a automatic as being a sign of rebuild time? I have had trannys slip when they needed rebuilt but never this banging deal? any ideas?
Should I just buy a rebuilt tranny? Thanks

Yea me too. I asked yall before about this but now it has a few more symptoms. The autos I had go out in the past always slipped like hell and thats the confusing part for me is she doesnt slip-just feels real sloppy. I cant take it anymore so I am gonna get me a fresh one put in. Thanks.
