    bad torque converter?

Had a Head and cam put in as well as a stall (3200) and shift kit.

This is the first car I've had this done to.

My problem is that when driving at low speeds the car idles high then at about 30 miles/hr or so is suddenly drops hard. Sometimes I'm even slowing and it does this. When that happens the car feels like its tugging and their is a rattle (faint) from the back.
I also had a very bad start up. I Had to try 3 times and give it gas, there was alot of chugging and fumes going on, cleared up once I got going.

    Help please!

Name the heads and cam you have, and more importantly the brand of torque converter, you should have all receipts. Sounds like you need another tuner, you may talk to frost (member on this sight) about a mail order tune.

could be but it sounds like a bad tune that is causeing the tcc is locking up on you. when T/C are bad usually they cause stalling problems when you put it in gear. Did you do the install or someone else? need to find out if you or they fild the T/C before starting it.

Yep, I'd look into your trans tune for that one. There's not really much that can go wrong with a converter - its either farked all over everywhere, or its good
