700r wont shift into over drive after swap

I have a lt1 in a 96 dime with the factory 93 700r out of trans am. Today is the first time i have drove it and it wont shift into overdrive. 1-3 is good and strong just wont shift into O.D. Any ideas if it could be something with the swap? Harness is hooked to trans. Im not familiar with the 700, does pressure shift it to over drive or does the electrical have something to do with it? Does the vss have something to do with it? Thanks for your time.

Oh and trans does have tci jumbo servo kit.

The 700r4 uses a governor and TV cable to determine shifts. Maybe the TV cable needs some adjustment.
Or get the proper computer controlled 4L60e transmission for your 96 and let the computer do the shifting.

It is the correct trans for the ecm, they are all from a 93 trans-am. Anyways, took the pan off today and found 1-2 accum spring broke, (no suprise) but also found the gasket on the trans side of the seperator plate is blowed out around the 3-4 accumulator. Dont know if that is causing the problem or not, but parts are on the way and hope it fixes it.

oh good same engine/trans/ecm combo makes it easier. Sounds like you found some likely issues there. good luck
