4l60E Transmission wheels spin in park!!!

I have a 2002 Trans am, I kinda pressed the pedal twice and my transmission went out. When I got towed home i lifted it from the back and messed with the gear selector. My Hyperpac said i was in Park but when i pressed the gas pedal my back tires spun. Also I put it in 1-D and it did the same even in reverse. What could it be...Do i need to rebuild my whole tranny or just get a new valve body? I really need help I don't know what the cheapest alternative would be.

Well first I would verify that the shifter is actually pushing the lever on trans all the way to park.
Park is not a gear its actually a steel lug that locks into the rear planet race. If you do verify that it is going all the way into the park postions its likley you have stripper the splines in the rear at rear of the planet and will need to replace or rebuild the trans. It is not a valve body or electrical issue.
