2nd gear slipping, car takes off in 1st when put in 2nd

2002 ta 49,000 miles (bone stock). Second gear is slipping all the rest are good even forth. Fluid is at the correct level, it is red and isn't burnt. When I put the shifter in 2 it starts off in first, if I hold the throttle steady it seems to go in 2nd gear and speeds up slowly. Under full throttle in drive (about 50mph) it acts like a stall, breaks the tires loose and pulls until it shifts.

Is there any chance this could be a shift solenoid?

I tried to get the codes read at autozone, but they only read engine codes.

I have read every post on the web I can find reguarding this with no problem exactly like mine.

Knowing my luck I need a tranny any help will be appreciated, Thanks.

burnt the band. will need a rebuild to fix it.
