2002 Firebird Trans Am / Install 7.5-7.625-4:10 gear install

I am having big problems setting up this gear set , the pinion is noisy and when accelerating , noisy also.

Richmond 4:10 Gear set for 3 carrier. The car has a BMR adjustable torque arm with the drive shaft loop. I tried several times to correct the noise problem but cant seem to get it right.

Has anyone tried this combination? Automatic 4L60E.

    Any Suggestions.

Who set up the rear when you changed the gears ? Did they use a new crush sleeve ? Did they set the backlash and run out correctly ? Did you have your driveshaft balanced ? What condition are your U-Joints in ? Does your rear have enough of the correct gear lube ? Is the housing set at the correct angle ? Try these ideas to see if anyone corrects the problem.

I set the gears myself and have been doing for a long time, Instead of the crush sleeve I used the Spacer ,the u joints are new the gear lube is correct ,I went over the pinion angle but according to BMR I might be to shallow ,I am set at 1* neg and they recommend 2-3 *
I am going to go over the whole install , it only cost a couple of Qts of fluid and let you guy's know .

    Thanks for the response,

I know what you are going through. Back in the day I raced Mopars and I have had my issues setting up Dana 60's. What was your contact pattern like ? Heel, toe or middle ?
