Anytime you go with Universal parts you will have to "Fit" the pieces together. Headers from one supplier, mufflers from another and pipes from a third, all with different specs. Unless you have a pipe bender handy and a welder and cutting torch you should buy everything as a kit. Try Texas Speed. Good exhaust systems at a fair price.
My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k

Pypes makes good stuff, so not a problem utilizing their X in your exhaust build if you are going all custom and just need this as part of the puzzle. Kooks just came out with a real nice true dual setup for our cars last year. However, it does require the use of specific suspension components to fit.

It also requires you to open your wallet up 180 degrees

not really in this instance....you're paying for sound/looks not performance. A $30 cutout performs as well or better than a $1600 dual exhaust kit out the back. It just doesn't sound or look near as good.

It's a common phrase, not a direct statement. Sorry I forgot the "lol"

what did you end up going with? Hard to beat the price of that texas speed kit that dumps before the axle. Word of warning though....you're gonna drag the shit out of it over just about any kind of bump.
