What would you do with my exhaust system?
QTP LTs, Catless Y-Pipe, Magnaflow Catback. (current setup)
I'd like to have a louder exhaust and maybe sound better, deeper, with no rasp if possible.
Here are the options i am considering:
1. Single electric cutout at the axle (probably the cheapest)
2. Dual cutouts behind the headers (probably the most expensive)
3. I've seen people take off their catback and put a muffler on the end of the Y-pipe so that it's dumped just before the axle.
I'm sure option number 3 might not sound the best, but maybe it could be. Please share some sound clips if you have them of option #3 or #2. I'm starting to surf youtube for cutout vids, but it's really hard to know what they would sound like in real life.
I really have no idea on the prices of all three options. I think one electric cutout is like 180 if i remember right. So i am sure option #2 might be a pretty expensive mod.

I went with a manual cutout a few years ago, cost about 25 bucks, I havent closed it since. Love the sound with an open cutout.
Single in the I pipe befor the axle. Fits like a glove.

Hmm, louder without the rasp? You are not going to be able to avoid it.

i also have a single cutout in the Ipipe right before the axle. Cost me $10 and i made a cover for it but i love the sound so much that i have never bolted on the cover. its been that way for over a year and cops have yet to pull me over. its loud and i have gotten nothing but compliments on how awesome my car sounds. its right under the passenger rear seat too, so they get the extra rumble haha.
heres are 2 vids. first is of my car when it was an A4 and with cats, cutout open. the second is it as an m6, no cats and cutout open(it was also the slowest run ever in my car but it was next to the quietest car.) honestly sounds much better in person though.

I personaly wouldnt worry about putting in two cutouts, one will flow plenty unless your running big cubes.
Somewhere in the I pipe or back should work just fine.
