what muffler????

currently have MAC mid tubes, ORY, 3in flowmaster catback, lid, G5X3, and my muffler sounds like a tin can when i drive around at part throttle. It sounds retarded but i like the idle. Want to change the muffler and have heard that flowmaster are junk when it comes to flow. I have 3 things i want to do so give me your thoughts. Put with a magnaflow or hooker muffler in place of the flowmaster, or put a XR-1 borla in the I pipe and just put a Y in where the flowmaster was. I dont want that raspy shit sound so please help!!!!

I have the Hooker Aerochamber on my 2000 Z28. I luv the sound. Slightly lounder than stock at idle and at WOT sounds great in my opinion. Black in color and fits nicely.

I was very happy w/ my borla catback running no plate. I've heard a MAC system on a mustang that was the best sounding system I've ever heard, but flowmasters sound good on a mustang too. Since u have an LS1 prob. go w/ the hooker, or maybe get a custom job done, some people just love a cutout. I know it's a hard decision to make especially if u spend tons of $$$ and it sounds like shit. I would go with a borla again if it ever came down to it. But that's just my opinion. Maybe u might wanna get the hooker and a bigger cam to help out the tone.
