I'd give em about a 3. So many better than Flowmaster and Cherrybomb. Corsa, Borla, Magnaflow, as well as several others.

trans am 00 ws6- 1998 camaro ss vert
a few thing to think about.
1 price
2 what works well for one car doesn't for another.
3 cherry bombs were the muffler back then. late 60's - early 80's.
4. cherry bomb just sold out to some youngers guy who are revamping things there. and will make there mark soon with all the research they are doing. they are spending the money to make change.
5 flowmaster and cherry bombs for our cars not to good many other options/ and perforance. for now.
i would get flowmaster for my 87 monte ss.

At the end of the day, it all depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Flowmaster and Cherry Bomb are both reputable name brands. From a flow standpoint, there are better options out there, however you would still experience gains over the stock setup with either of the two cat-back kits.
Personally, the Flowmaster suites my needs perfectly......it gives a nice tone without being too loud or raspy. When I was ultimate performance, I simply open the electric cutout and then it doesn't matter how good or bad my catback flows.2002 Camaro SS M6, 2.5 PRC 5.3L heads, TFS 228/230 cam, FAST 92, bolt ons + a 10 lb bottle in the back.
1989 Corvette L98, A4, Full bolt ons, etc.

I'm a Magnaflow man, but I decided to go with Flowmaster single chambers on my TD's when I get em bent up Monday. The price wasn't much different, but I just like the sound, and the mufflers are nice and tiny (6 1/2" end to end) so it will help with fitting them in there.

I would be, but I have a kid coming and don't need to be driving something so loud around all the time. I'm gonna miss it.... I wish I could leave it like that, but my parents and future wife want me to get something quieter. my mom is willing to pay 400 dollars towards it too. lol. that's why I was looking for something unique. I am still considering a true duals setup that goes under axle out the back with a magnaflow dual/dual muffler.

Well , if you want a straight thru Glass-PAC , the Cherry bomb beats all the rest because it has a smooth center core where most of the others have a perforated wavy interior which causes a lot more restriction / quieter . For sound/performance/price the Cherry's can't be beat . Especially if used in conjunction with an H-pipe . Shit , they would even make an LS1 sound good , and thats almost impossible to do .
