what cut out would i need?
I have the magnaflow catback, slash tips on my t/a . I believe its 3 inch. So what size cutout would i be looking for? does the cutout go inside the header pipe and inside the catback pipe, or does the cutout go around them?

If you have a stock y, it should go right after the y, before the catback. You you want the stock size cutout, which IIRC is 2 1/4. I could be wrong.

My QTP is a 3" and I have it welded under the Rear Passenger seat right before it goes over the axle.

The cutout is a small pipe that replaces a small section of your exhaust
Basically a Y pipe cut off on one end with an electric valve or removable plate that bypasses the exhaust.
Basic setup
This is a manual setup
Then you would basically buy an electric valve such as a QTP or DMH cutout valve

Any fab shop should be able to do it for not a lot of $$.
