The race ones that dont have the provisions means that you need to eliminate both the egr and air tubes and of course the ones that have the provision means you can keep the egr and air tubes.

It depends on the Emissions laws in your area.
You may be required to have all original Emissions equipment.

Technically, it's illegal to remove emission's equipment like the EGR, AIR and cats. It's actually a federal crime I believe. But it really depends on where you live and your inspection. NJ sticks a mirror under the car to look for the cats so even if you do headers you want to run dual cats. If you remove the EGR and AIR they most likely won't notice but you need to tune it out of the computer or you'll fail inspection for a not ready condition.

Technically long tubes are illegal to begin with. I'd get race headers.

since you dont have inspections you'll be just fine. In Ca where they do inspections, you take your car to an approved emmisions testing place and they do all the tests and inspections there.

depends on what year your car is. I believe I have to get mine smogged every two years or so. No smog=no registration. So basically if you dont smog and you get pulled over your f***ed.
