Question What brand of U/D pulleys perform best?

I am looking at purchasing a set of underdrive pulleys soon and I am wondering what brand performs best?

I seen that SLP has a new U/D pulley that does not require additional pullies for it to work but I was thinking of going with an entire set of puillies like ASP/March.

I saw these pullies on Thunderracing.com if it is help to anyone.

Please let know what you guys think.

Auto or M6? If you have an M6 you don't need or want all the pullies, unless you have a huge stereo system. The SLP/powerbond pulley is they best one IMO, and has caused no negative side effects whatsoever. If you use an overdrive alternator pulley you'll just be taking away from the small gains that an underdrive pulley shows.

I do have a system but nothing that will require an u/d alt. pulley. I plan on upgrading to a optima red top and maybe a higher amp alt. So you reccomend the SLP u/d pulley for best gains from an u/d pulley?

What about March's fluid dampner? Any pros or cons about it?
Just for me to clear up some questions I have, with an U/D crank pulley I will lose turns/power to my other systems correct? And getting U/D pulley's for other systems like the alt. will bring back the lost power?

If I get the March LS1 fluid dampener pulley will the ASP alt. pulley work with it?

Vehicle is an 02 Camaro Z28 LS1 w/ Borla y-pipe and catback, 4.10's w/auburn pro series diff. Soon I will be installing F.A.S.T 78mm tb and intake w/t-rex cam and Dart heads

    I originally ordered a March.
4 month backorder when I ordered in August. Was supposed to be 3 weeks....

I refuse to buy ANYTHING from SLP. Period. I might...if they would actually back their products.

Although I purchase from SLP, especially with them being just minutes away from my home... I honestly feel the same way as you do. I never had a problem with any of their products, but their service has seriously taken a turn for the worse over the years.

I also feel the same way about TPIS.

The pulley that SLP uses as their own, is actually made by Powerbond. It's probably the best made pulley out there. I would never buy their longtubes, but the pulley they use is top notch!

ASP on the black beast....I am presently boycotting SLP as their customer support has gone the route of my old LS1 block...in the shitter. New Era....a sponsor here is the balls...Mike stands behind everything and bust ass to get you and your car on the road with quality service and parts....that guy and his company overnight crap to me....go find stuff and ship it...follows up and makes sure your good to go...and all of this cheaper than most of the parts whores charge for just pimping and shipping aftermarket parts.....I highly recommend Mike and New Era...and yup....I will buy SLP performance parts...but only through Mike and New Era....

I wonder if you can buy the Powerbond pulley from somewhere else besides SLP. It's an excellent pulley, but I agree with you guys on the whole SLP thing. They were rude to me on the phone, and I hear nothing but bad feedback from everyone that deals with them. I'm finally so fed up with all of SLP's crap that I won't be buying anything from them again. They don't even deserve to be in business as far as I'm concerned. All their years of poor customer service, rudeness and crappy products(for the most part) will hopefully do them in once and for all..........

Ok guys i got a question about all this... I happen to have a pretty large stereo system going in my car. I have a 1000/1 from JL amp that hads been known to fry if it does not get enough power to it so it is vital that my charging system is good. I have purchased 210V high output altenator from ohio generators and will have two Stinger SP 1000 batteries in my car also. All at the same time i would like to be able to put an underdrive pulley.... is this possible? also what is the 10% undredrive and stuff like that and whats the biggest percent indredrive that they come in.... Any help is appreciated

With adding all that weight I say screw the pulley and get forced induction or spray!
