What are the best cut outs?

I am looking to buy the best brand of cut outs. Looks like marylandspeed way has the lowest prices.

Also are there any problems I should be aware of with cut outs?

    DHC vs QTP?

I have a QTP in a borla set-up and it worked for about a year and is now either burnt out or stuck.

If you're talking electric cutouts I have a DMH. They don't burn out as fast as QTP but they cost a little more and have warranty, 5 years if I remember correctly. Race Ready cutouts have a lifetime warranty but cost even more than DMH. I got mine from Speed Inc. Damn PaJeff the underside of your car is clean ^^.

I bought mine where I get most of my parts, on Ebay. New in the box.

Flowtech is the pipe that it mounts in.

I have long tubes, 3" Y pipe, and the ws6 catback with an aftermarket muffler..

I think its the ws6 catback, not 100 percent sure it was on when i bought the car. so its either 2.75 or 3" at most.

Only reason I ask is that the Flowtech is mild steel with a black electrostatic finish. That simply would not have worked with our setup so I fabbed a custom piece and had my brother TIG it to our Magnaflow mid-pipe. Pics in this thread that show the Flowtech piece that comes with the DMH: http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137873

So will the flowtech require fab?

I was just thinking of getting the manual one. Its so much cheaper. Not sure though. I might regret it

You have to cut a section out of your mid-pipe and weld in the Flowtech. Could use band clamps I suppose, but I have not seen one in person installed with clamps.

I would want to use a cutout on each side from each header if I had the money. I guess I would use one behind the "Y" pipe until I could I could afford the second.

They make a flattened oval cutout for a dual installation on the Y-pipe. They are really slick, but I just could not justify the same. Quite happy with our single cutout.
