port and polish your throttle body yourself and get a lid if it's not out of your price range.

A lid sits on top of your airfilter and goes to your MAF. The shock has silencers and baffles in it that don't flow well. A lid is the best bang for your buck mod. Port and polishing throttle body is just grinding it to make the opening bigger.

Descreened and ported MAF. If you want to be on the safe side, then join the GP because you can always switch it back to stock.

-1 Stock MAF's aren't even a restriction until ~500HP and it will require a tune to function properly, money that can be well spent on a set of headers or a good catback that will gain a ton of more power under the curve. for 1000 the biggest bang for your buck is going to be a custom cam and a dyno tune. And unlike the bottle it will be on all the time and no worries on refills
