truck coils
Are they worth getting and do they give you a hotter spark.I had a vacume leak and I checking out my vacume lines and noticed my coil pack harnesses are real brittle, there 10 years old. So I figured just get a new set.New harnesses cost more than the used truck coil packs

Not really...there are people using stock LS1 Coils on 1000+hp setups.

Actually they are quite a bit better. The LS2 is better than LS1 and the 6.0L truck
LQ9 coil packs with metal finned heat sinks on top are the hottest of all.
I have seen my tuner have lots of spark headaches with a 900whp LS1.
I just picked up a set of brand new LQ9 packs complete with bracket and harness off ebay for $250 for my
turbo tahoe project.
Truck coil pack mini-harness will plug right into your LS1 harness at the main connector
Heres a neat bench test vid of the LS2 vs LQ9 coil pack
