ticking

has any body developed a sort of loud ticking noise after header install?
i put the blocking plate in the AIR did every thing right cant see it being
a header gasket the sound comes from the right side of the car

maybe it's a lifter out of out of adjustment?

After reinstalling my stock exhaust manifold from a head swap I did I had a loud tickihng and rattling comming form the drivers side. For me what happened was that I did not properly tourque down on of the block-off plates and it was rattling from taht as well as getting exhaust noise from the leak.

But if you have rechecked that then i would think did you re-use the old header gasket? or did you replace it. Also did you tourque the header down in the proper order? Lastley make sure your collector is tightend down too. G/L

If you removed the wires make sure they are on with two (2) pops on the connector. Will run that way but tick. A leaking blank-off plate will do the same thing. Make sure a gasket is there and its tight. Good luck
