Which throttle body/intake mainifold?
I am about to get the last two possible bolt ons for my SS which is a throttle body and intake manifold. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or really likes the one they have. Also if there is anything else random i should know. I was looking at the BBK 80mm thottle body and the LS6 manifold from SLP or the LSX "FAST" thottle body and manifold, even the the LSX is much more expensive. Hopefully you all can give me some suggestions. Thanks

I think Im stupid because I seem to be the only one to buy an Ls2 intake manifold, but it has a stock opening for a 90mm TB and it was $700 cheaper that the F.A.S.T. intake, I plan to do a cam and head swap later . My 90mm TB may be a tad over kill but meh! I agree for now a port and an Ls6 should do you just fine.

at least tell me I did somethign right. The Ls2 has an opening for a 90mm TB and I didnt want to buy the LSX intake manifold for 800 something dollars. Isnt the LS2 a higher displacement engine than the Ls6? Or am I wrong about that too?

Buy a Ls6 intake and prot and polish your stock T/B. Just got my car dyno tune and that was the first 2 things they told me other than to get rid of the Flowmaster. So I'm going to port my stock T/B and get me a LS6 intake in the very near future. Then I'm going to go with the GMMG exhaust.

ok here it is, it looks like some of them are taking off their ls6 manifold and putting on the ls2. I accept defeat.... If only there were an LS6 manifold w/ a 90mm TBLast edited by SKULLZ; 10-18-2005 at 05:58 AM.

Yea I asked around and did some searches, I'll just buy an Ls6 manifold and get it worked on to take a 90mm TB, I know there is a vendor that sells them I just cant remeber, I want to see if I like the hp gains with the 90mm Tb and Ls2 first.....but eventually Ill invest in an Ls6

I guess all I can hope for is that the LS2 works well with my other mods...if not I just learned a $200 lesson

Thanks Sarge, it feels good to have somebody w/ your type of experience (no dis to anybody) tell me I will be fine with the Ls2 manifold. I even went so far as to ask others on another site what they thought (no help there) This site rocks!!!!
