throttle body and intake ??

hey what is the best size/brand throttle body and intake to put on a 2000 WS6 trans am

its all depends on what you wanna do if you are staying farly stock i would go with stock p/p tb and an ls6 intake, if you going crazy with a set of heads and a big cam then i would go fast 90/90 but on a fairly stock motor i couldnt see spending $1100 on an intake and tb just my opnion but everyone has them someone else might tell you something totally different.

what about POLISHED TYPHOON Intake Manifold with LS2 sized 96mm Inlet and 96mm Throttle Body I can get it for about $680 and most likely going to put the headers and maybe an sts rear turbo in the future

you just opened up a can of worms with the 96mm typhoon. some people talk it down but not many people have it so who knows? i bought mine last week...just waiting for professional products to finally make the LS1 compatible TB for it. if you look around, you can find the polished intake manif. either new or slightly used for about $400. good luck with whatever you get though.

STEER CLEAR of this item!!!
I was told an Aluminum Intake manifold is a No-No for F-Bodies as they get really hot and begin wearing items around it very quickly.

I just inquired about that Typhoon yesterday when I ordered my Intake Manifold, Throttle Body & Fuel Rails.

I have the 85mm Polished Intake manifold and T/B from professional products and it is very nice. I really like it as you can port match it to your heads and it has great build quality.

I can get anybody the intake or T/B's as I have a bunch of their items in my garage from a purchase I did for a shop. "PM Me"

I have the stock LS1 intake on my Heads and Cam 99 Camaro and I know after I port match it to my heads and block off my EGR I will pick up 20+ RWHP.

I would go with the LS6 with Ported TB. I installed mine on Saturday and am very happy. Can't wait to get head's and Cam

i just emailed Professional Products and they said their 96mm LS1 throttle bodies should definitely be out next month.

Stock size is 75mm. Port it to approximately 78mm.
