thinking about de-emissioning
since I live in the great state of Florida where emissions are not a big factor, im thinking about taking off my "smog pump" stuff...not for performance or anything but to clean up the engine bay a little big and make it look nicer...I have the SLP lid with the tube thing on it...I need a block off for that and I was also wondering where I could get block off plates for the manifolds.
does anyone have any advise for me before i decide to do this?
(this is a double post on another forum as well)...
need thoughts

Thunder Racing sells block off plates for the AIR if you don't want to make your own. An expansion plug for the lid you can get at auto zone, and of course you'll have to turn the codes off unless you want to look at a constant SES light.

Pull all that BS off, also ditch the PVC system and get a breather to replaces your oil cap.

I bought block off plates but they didn't fit at all. I ended up cutting the hose from the top of the TB, pinched it and welded it shut (does not look good but got the job done). Removed the air pump and associated tubing. Had all of this nonsense tuned out before I performed the surgery. Very easy and satisfying project. The thought of recirculating hot air into the TB made me sick.
