Are these any good (Headman Headers)
I have a chance to buy a brand new, never used set of Headman Headers for only $150. Usual price to order them in is more like $450. A local place ordered them in but the guy changed his mind and now they can't seem to sell them (not much demand around here)
But are these headers any good, I want something with good performance that will last for a while without rusting out or leaking.
I haven't gone to see them but they sound like the Headman street headers with ceramic coating. Thing is they are 18 guage steel (big # means thinner right??) and the flang is only 1/4" where I see most flanges being 3/8". Doesn't sound like much but when you think about it 3/8 is One and a Half Times thicker than 1/4
Also my goals for this car are modest, Good intake, headers, catback, and a custom tune. So is this the type of header I should be looking at? Primary tubs (according to thier web site) are 1 1/2" - 1 5/8" is that about where I want to be for this car?
Also I won't really be racing this car, a few passes now and then and some spirited driving but no hardcore usage...if that affectes header life or durability requirements at all.Last edited by Intrepidman; 11-04-2008 at 06:41 AM.

They will work just fine. Sound great too and for the price you cant beat it.
