Tb & Intake
I would like to upgrade to add on a new throttle body without taking to big of a hit to the wallet....I am in love with the FAST LSX 90mm tb and intake but WAY to much for me.....I was thinkin simple ls6 intake and maybe a BBK 80 MM throttle body??? Let me know what you guys think and if you know of a place where i could get something cheaper....Already checked ebay and they didnt have anything on there

Now wait a minute here pilgrim...what heads/cam you got there....no reason and put 50lbs of shit in a 30lb bag....you may want to get your stock TB ported and polished.....without proper flowing heads and a decent cam lift you may be "pissing in the wind".....but lets see what you got...and get you hauling ass....

i heard that the FAST 'system' (TB and manifold along with the fuel rails and high fold injectors) really wakes up when you have a nice set of heads and cams. I have them sitting in my closet right now. Just haven’t found enough money to buy the heads/cam That true? Oldtimers?

depending on what heads and cam you have, it could be a waste.
if you have a hot h/c set up, then get the fast system.
if you have a street/mild h/c, dont bother.
the fast set up is best for bigger displacement motors2000 nhra edition formula

OK...OldTimers huh
Rule of thumb for increasing top end air flow...ie...intakes...TB's....if you have not modified your head flow numbers by at least 20% your wasting your money...

hmmm so you won't even see any power gains from a ls6 mainfold and BBK 80 mm TB unless you have H/C's?

the fast will work with a stock cube block.
it just wont work better than a ls6 intake.

we are also going to install 1.8 roller rockers and new springs. The motor
has about 6000 miles on it. I like the torque that this long rod motor
makes!
