You should be fine. It would have to get REALLY cold before you felt the adverse effects of the TB bypass in cold weather.

Black- 2000 Camaro SS
I did the TB bypass on my Camaro within weeks of getting the car. I have gone through 6 winters and I have had no problem with starting the engine even on the coldest of mornings and there have been a few down as cold as 5 degrees. I have no idea how much power you will pick up with the TB bypass or if you will pick up any at all. I do know that with the TB bypass, the air intering the engine is a lot cooler and the cooler air helps make more horsepower.

I don't drive in winter either but I still start it from time to time and I never noticed anything bad. Starts everytime like new.

I think the only time it may become an issue i on a long haul in -40 with snow or high humidity I drove my WS6 in a 40 below day to work once( it was the only car that started, being it was stored in a heater garage) and no freez up that i noticed

It doesn't. GM designed it so the hot coolant flows through the TB when its cold out so the throttle blades don't stick. That's why some worry about doing the mod in cold climates because the throttle blades could stick. But I've only heard them sticking in -30* to -40*.
