I had the same problem when i got mine ported. It could be that the tb was over ported. If the opening around the blade is too big it will cause a high idle.

there is an idle adjustment screw under your throttle cable that you can adjust down to compensate for the over ported throttle body.

Sounds like the same thing my car was doing. I contacted the guy who ported my TB and he swapped it out for a new one. Once i got my new one it ran perfect. Try holing your TB up to the light and it you see large cracks between the body and the blade it might be over ported.

did the guy half shaft it?

i am sure he did, he did not do everything... there is one thing you need to do when the half shaft is done so it will not stick

    Ok so old post but...

I have the exact problems of JattGunMan:

I can feel it stick as I press the gas pedal, every time. It will often hang at a high idle and eventually return to normal.

I ported the TB myself so obviously screwed it up a little. Seems like it sticks when you remove the shaft because now the screws don't get aligned perfectly. Any hopes to fix mine or should I be looking for a new one?
