Stainless Steel LT Headers
Has any one herd of these SBC Chevrolet XS Super Competition Stainless Steel Headers that are seen on ebay. I live in Long Island NY on the water, so i figured im going to need stainless steel headers if i want them too last, however they generally cost a great amount. I am trying to pick up a cheaper set of stainless steel headers for a decent price, but also trying to get a good amount of performance out of them. If any could fill me in if these are any good, or if they know of any that are cheap and work well that would be great.

i have the same 'Ebay" stainless steel headers as well. you will find no other new stainless steel headers for that price. so far i have had no problems with them at all. a good y-pipe for them is the 2 piece Pacesetter 3" ORY ($115+shipping). Here is a link to my car with the "Ebay" SS headers. I saw gains of 26rwhp and 22rwtq with them...

2013 ZL1: °°590rwhp/576rwtq°°

I'm in the process of installing them now... did you have to make modifications to that pacesetter y-pipe for it to fit?

Problem with the pacesetter y-pipe is that I think its aluminum.

Is the 2 piece pacesetter 3" ORY the only Y-Pipe that is know to fit with these headers? or will i be able to use a texas speed catted Y-Pipe. Also how is the sound with these, if i am running a LM cat back exhaust is it as loud as the pacesetter headers make it. Many people say the pacesetter headers and LM are way too loud and raspy, was just wondering if these headers will make it just as loud.

Probably will. As far as exhaust sound, most, if not all longtubes will provide the same result, no matter what brand. So, pacesetters with LM will probably sound identical to Kooks with LM.

If you live on Long Island you may want to check our American Racing Headers. They make stainless headers for LS1 and LS2's
