    SS exhaust recommendations

I've got a stock 01 SS. Any recommendations on a cat-back system. I'm really leaning towards the SLP loudmouth kit. I want it loud, but good. I've got about $400-500 to spend. Any soundclips? just looking for suggestions, or comments from someone who might have SLP already.

remember, its a stock SS. i'm just looking for exhaust, not headers and stuff.
    thanks

the loudmouth is an unrefined exhaust note.
i would and did have the magnaflow and liked it.

for exhaust sounds, go to ls1sounds.

loudmouth is just that.......Loud. If you are doing it to have the loudest car and dont care about a good clean deep sound then go with that. If you want a good sounding and fairly loud exhaust then I would go with magnaflow for your price range. fwiw.....I am not a fan of the loudmouth. It is just annoying.

It's too bad most people can't afford new.... they would sell a ton of those if they just came down some on the price.

Previous owner installed Y pipe and some crapy catback which I changed with LM. I love the sound!
Here is a short video clip of my car.

    Smile Dual Exhaust

Why don't you install a true dual exhaust on you car that goes over the rear axle and exits out the rear from beneath the bumper in the stock locations? With the true duals, you will pick horsepower, torque and a sound that is spectular. And the sound is not raspy at all. Just a sweet muscle car sound!!!

I have flowmaster catback also, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it sounds, HOWEVER.... I have heard that it holds up quite a bit of hp. I've seen guys switch from Flowmaster to another catback and gain 10-15rwhp from that alone.
I'm putting my inline turndown cat replacements tomorrow just for fun to see if I can feel any difference, other than deafening roar.

I'm still a big fan of the Borla cat-back. I have it on both of my cars and would not change it for anything.
