    spark plugs only?

my 94 Lt1 has only 48,000 miles son it (that right!)....I was gonna replace the plugs only at this time since the factory wires are good for 100,000. so....has anyone just replaced the plugs only or are we to stick with the plugs and wires together routine?........

yeah as long as the wires look good dont worry about them and just change the plugs. I went for about 100,000 miles on stock plugs and wires (mainly cause i did not want to mess with them) with no problems and i got my T/A into the 12's so you should see no problems.

what about if I go ahead and replace the plugs and say, 10,000 miles down the road I want to replace the wires...would that be a problem of any sort?

As long as your wires look like they are in good condition you should see no problems, just look for cracks and the important part is check the electrode contacts make sure they don't look black, burned or rusted. If you want to protect it more just put a little dab of high temp dielectric grease on the end of the spark plug after you install them into the heads then attach the plug wires. hope this helps.

I'm running standard cheap103s in my H/C goat and have no complaints at all......plus if you spray and go a hair too lean the standard plug's tip will burn off before the top of your piston
