Some SLP Lid/Bellow Results on Dynolicious(iphone)

Well I just snuck out and it was dead so I decided to just stick the iphone on the mount and blast a run off. I'm trying to find some dynolicious runs from last year when the car was stone stock but I usually use the same spot and just use em for fun comparisons.

Todays run definitely showed a bump in HP reading on two consecutive runs. In an entire year it has never showed the HP readings I got tonight. SO perhaps I was wrong and a Lid did give me a 10 hp bump or so.

Here's a run from a week or two ago. I did let off early as I'm used to the vette blasting through the traps still in 3rd at 7500 + rpms so it isn't a complete run.

What I am really comparing here is the MAX HP since the first run I let off early. The second run I had no traction in 1st so I shifted early. No powershifting I was just trying to speed shift to preserve the stock clutch.

1st run : Max Hp 314 (Free ram air, K&N Corsa)

2nd run : Max Hp 332 (Addition of SLP Lid + Bellow)

Previous bests before these were 306 HP when the car was Stone stock just tuned up with fresh plugs wires and a K&n.

The I iphone can record results like a G-tech can. So using GPS it can make very accurate calculations. I don't take the times or mph very seriously but theres no denying improvements when not changing the vehicle specs and using the same stretch of road except for weather corrections of course.

I am betting with LTs there will be a nice jump in mph.

BTW last year I did track my car with the iphone app on at the same time and it was .001 off the .e.t and 1.6 mph high on the speed since the track calculates average speed over the last 60 feet and iphone gets the actual based on gps.

I think its fun to use and I've seen correct gains in every way ( Gs, mph and hp ) as i've modded the car. Maybe tonight I can do 4-5 back to back runs to show how consistent it can be. I just don't want to wake any of the 2 farmers along the 'track' ( lol ) .

I was very skeptical on the iphone app but ive seen a few numbers and comparisons people of done using the iphone, Gtech and a actually dyno shop and the numbers are very close to each other.

I used a g-tech ss at the local 1/8th mile track and the times were off 1/100th of a sec but the speed was dead on. Pretty good for a windshield radar if you ask me.
