Some opinions on these headers?
I was just looking through parts on Ebay the other day and found these T304 stainless headers that look nice, but they are buy it now for only $240!!!??? I asked the seller why they were so cheap because other stainless headers are like $5-600 or more, and the seller replied by saying that they did not have to use a "brand name" so that's why they're so cheap. They even have provisions for pollution control and come with gaskets, and hardware.

The only thing that looked weird to me is that the driver side collector looks like it is not welded on straight...???
Scam...or a GREAT deal???

That price is unreal...
Kooks apparently uses the same stainless. But yet they look completely different.
Something has to be off. Fitment or something.

I read a lot of the sellers feedback and saw quite a few complaints about header fit/quality, though none of the ones I saw were LS1. Most complaints were for Durango and Honda headers.
If they are decent, that is a killer price.
But the numerous complaints have me wary, and a lot of complaints about difficulty getting refunds.
I'll just go with my gut...
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is

Kinda what I was thinking. Maybe I could get them to send me some measurements and then compare the #'s to Kooks, QTP, Pacesetter, etc. Or I could just be the guinea pig b*tch and be the first to try em haha...what a PIA it would be to rip everything out and then have a problem with fitment.

At $240 a set, I wonder if someone contacted him and said that LS1.com could guarantee a group buy of 10 sets or more if quality is up to par.
The seller may be willing to either sell a set at a discount or maybe work something out so that they can be tested before everyone jumping in.
I know that if the fit/quality was decent at that price, count me in!
I don't expect QTP levels of product, but I'm sure they'd still be better than any shortie or middie header.

I am also interested as I am also a cheap bastard always looking for a great deal on a great product.
My only concern is fitament and flange durability.
I feel confident spending 400 for a set of pacesetters as lots have them but saving a 100 bucks and using it to finish my exhaust would be nice also.

I know its not really relavent but back when i had my 1995 Probe GT i bought SSAutoChrome headers for it and they were great. They fit perfect and tons of people had them on their cars for thousands of miles without problems. I payed $105 for em. Although i had my Dad strengthen all the welds just to be on the safer side.

My bad...they are the same. I went back to the site, and the thing that made me think they weren't the same was that on the SS site, they posted the metal as 321 Stainless, and on the Ebay headers, they say T-304 (which I thought was higher quality stainless). Probably a misprint from the seller or something. Thanks for the input, didn't mean to sound like a dick.

i have SSautochrome headers on mine, they fit fine, they kinda angle the ORY to the floor plan. the only problem is that my egr tube broke off, so i had to plug it up. other than that they are great

Either way I will know for sure and post an unbiased opinion as these will make a visit to the local gen3/gen4 shop for comparisons against the others installed and used there.
