SLP vs. Magnaflow
Which way should i go? Theres only about a $25 difference between the two so I'm looking for some feedback on people who have used both.
Thanks
Matt

Depends on how loud you want it to be. I would go for the SLP loud mouth myself but the magna flow has a good sound to it and some nice tips that come on the system.

I have the SLP LM. if loud is what you want even after going to LT's/ORY setup down the road then get it...
If you want a little more 'tamed' sound then go magnaflow...
links in my sig will let you know what SLP LM sounds like with LT's/ORY...

In my opinion SLP is loud but its a more raspy tone. Magnaflow is a deeper tamer tone. I like deep tones and the more tame sound so I'm a fan of Magnaflow but you can't go wrong with either.

I recently put the magnaflow on my z and I love it. My father has a loudmouth II on his goat and it sounds really good also. I noticed his idles a little louder. If you are looking for really loud go with the loudmouth I. If you just want a good sound without attracting cops the ldmth II or magnaflow will do.

I vote Magnaflow. That's what I have, and I love it. Although, last time I heard it, it was with stock manifolds/y, and now I've got a set of SLP LT's and ORY goin on it.

i have magnaflow on the car for right now
like the sound
just be aware they don't use 304 stainless like they claim to
its cheap stainless & it will rust as everyone else's does (the piping that is - tips & muffler are mint)
FWIW the SLP Dual/Dual which came on my 02 SS has yet to accumulate a spot of rust (65,000 miles)

I think the SLP is either a love or hate system. The magnaflow seems to appeal to a wider range. I personally have a LM2 and I think it's obnoxious sounding in the car due to the drone. Tried to change bullets to make it better but not with a great deal of success. The size/space constrictions of the bullet location just won't accomodate a large enough muffler to alter the sound much.

I just installed LT's and an ORY with my magnaflow and it sounds amazing. Not to loud that its abnoxious but it has a deep tone that sounds perfect to me.
