Hopefully making them not suck, I would expect that they would make them so that the Lid actually seals.

slp
I have heard a lot of people say that slp is rude and the fitment on some of the lids is kinda hard to get to stay on at first...but if can ever get the lid itself to stay on is it good?

Fitment isn't any worse than any other lid.
SLP just sucks overall though.

It took my 3 months to get SLP to delivery my airbox. Only reason I still have it is that fact that it cost 100+ dollars. SLP does suck, the Lid fits ok if you get it on right. But there is still a gap in the back. I have not seen many other lids so I do not know if this is common for them all.

SLP lid = best fitment...
PITA to get to get it down but sits the most flush & tightest seal
also test have shown better gains from SLP's lid
SLP was excellent last week when i ordered my LS6 intake...
asked me all the right questions to make sure i was getting the right one
(often companies just want to know what you want and complete the transaction... they actually took the time to identify alot of specifics & make sure i was getting the right items)

Maybe they have gotten better, but It took 3 months to get my lid, kind of rediculous... I will say when I ordered the plug for the AIR line they were a lot better.
The front seals the best, but the rear has a gap..

i got my lid this time last year - had it next day
ordered my ls6 intake 2 weeks ago... had it next day
im sure being the next state over certianly helps but 3 months???
sounds more like a filing error on their part, unless it was back ordered or something like that
(TR lost an order of mine for 2 months too... they forgot to set it up to automatically ship... but i dont hate them for it LOL)
the other 20+ orders have been nothing less then perfect

Of course they are great when you are about to spend money.
The problem is once you have the part and there is a problem.

plus how would you know???? you have a phone tap on me dude!?!?!?!?!?! wtf lol
well i find it pretty silly that patriot would have no idea what stock gasket thickness are - then not be able to answer how many cc a 243 casting head is
then give wrong milling amounts per cc...
atleast slp made sure i was buying the right part and gave accurate information
actually.... on that point i would have to agree...
brother of mine picked up 2 of their lids a few yrs back (2000 & 2002) and they were missing some pieces... not sure what was missing... but SLP did charge them for the missing pieces... not just shipping but for the part too....
i was less then impressed
