i like them, but lots of people think they drone too much and are just too loud at the wrong times.
if you can find someone in your area with it you might want to go for a ride with them first....its kind of a love it or hate it exhaust

I couldn't agree more. It's a hate it or love it kinda exhaust. I've had the Loudmouth 1 and 2, personally they sounded great when I was pretty much stock (A LOT OF DRONE WITH THE LM1!!!), but after heads and cam only magnaflow provided the sound I was looking for.

my exhaust was very mellow and quiet at idle and cruising, but loud at WOT, then i got a small cam (220/224) and ported my heads and its loud all the time now and sounds completely different......

Yea, with the LM2 after heads and cam mine sounded like a strip car all the time. Turned a lot of heads, but was too loud for my taste.

I have header/ory with bolt ons and when I had the just the lm2 it was loud and a little raspy but nor too bad. Depends if you want it loud. Once I put on the rear power flo mufflers it quieted it down on idle and got rid of the rasp and drone but kept some sound at WOT.

SLP being crap is more based on experience and what I have read from hundreds of other LSx owners over the years.

not for nothing, but people actually like the sound of the loudmouth? theres good loud and then just loud and raspy and annoying, i think the loudmouth falls under that category.

Mr.Luos had the loudmouth and slps garbage design headers btw

I dont know about the cat back set up but I have duals with them on, its not terribly loud, not nearly as much rasp as the LM1

here is from a stop with an easy take off

It depends on whow the rest of you exhaust/motor is set up, cats, cam, catback, duals, headers, head work, and it depends on what you want out of your car. If your looking to go big time with a cam or S/C later then I wouldnt go with the SLP LM line unless I was running duals.

You're just an SLP hater haha. TempleU_Ws6 has lt's with the LM2 and I personally LOVE the way it sounds! From what everyone said it would sound like shit but it's actually almost the same at idle(pre-headers), but sounds nice at WOT!

Get duals if you want it nice and loud!!!

I have tons of personal experience with SLP and their products and both are complete CRAP! I can't emphasize that enough.
