black- 2000 nhra edition formula
on paper it should, but in reality, the hooker, magnaflow, corsa and borla all flow about the same.

spintech
hey do any of you guys know anything about spintech mufflers? Im thinking about welding one on in the place of my loudmouth1. The loudmouth flows good but its just loud with no tone to the exhaust.

I wouldn't waste your time trying another bullet muffler if you're really unhappy with the sound. I tried it and eventually switched catbacks. Sell the LM and buy another catback for minimal $ outlay.

I used to have the loudmouth.
Since I have owned one...it would be the second to last catback I would consider now. The last one....flowmaster.2008 Trailblazer SS

Na
The spintech muffler that I was looking at is not a bullet style muffler its a case muffler. It would fit perfect in the place of the LM1. They sound really good I just dont know very much about spintech and how good they flow. Before I got my loudmouth I was told it would flow better and give you more hp and tq gains than any other catback and so thats why I bought it. Im pretty sure they were right but I really dont like the way it sounds. Thats why I was thinking about getting a spintech muffler but I dont want to hurt the flow of the exhaust too much. So I was hoping someone out here new something about spintech. Im probably never going to do headers so Im just wanting all the hp that I can get out of a catback. In that case, should I just stay with the loudmouth?

Do you dislike the volume of the exhaust or the unrefined tone? You will not be able to alter the volume to a huge degree by swapping out bullets. You can make it a bit more refined but it will still be loud.
Your concerns about losing hp are way overblown. Most of the catbacks with the exception of the flowmaster will be fine.

yeah thats why Im not doing headers. I dont really mind the volume of the loudmouth, I just want a different sound. The spintech muffler is a case style. Its only 6 inches wide so it would fit where the LM1 muffler was. I was thinking about doing that instead of buying a new catback.

well im pretty sure you can buy a different y pipe with cats to keep it street legal, they cost a little extra but atleast you can get the extra performance if thats what your after...

I have lts & ory with the loud mouth 1 system,it's definitely loud under a load, but at 60 to 70 mph it's not that bad, kinda has a drone to it.

borla xr-1 muffler
I know the borla xr-1 is more quiet than the Lm1 but does it have a different tone to it? Does it have more of a throaty sound to it than just a loud hmmm?

IMO the xr-1 sounds deeped without the rasp and drone. The XR-1 isnt the muffler that comes on the Borla cat back-its Borlas race muffler.

borla xr-1
Do you have any sound clips of your car. All the sound clips that I find are cars that have headers and no cats so its not going to sound the same as our setup.

I will make one for you and post it by tomorrow. I have stock exhaust manifolds and cats. I mean it has a nice sound to it at regular cruising and when you get on it its plenty loud. Unlike the LM that is loud as hell even just cruising.

Has a deep tone to it. I think you will love it.
