SLP Lid, what air filter do I need? (Reg/Spec?)

Going to buy a SLP lid and want to see what type of air filter I need then. I assume a regular (Purolator) one would defeat some of the purpose of the lid. Suggestions?

Nope, your stock paper filter will work fine for with the lid. K&N just has a great marketing team, there isn't any performance to be had there.

If you DO go with a replaceable filter, check out the one from Amsoil. Better filtration, and it doesn't require oil.

no performace from a aftermarket filter over a stock paper filter? i wouldnt say its a noticable difference but i wouldnt say none, any of the aftermarket dropin filters will work with the SLP lid

Yeah, I have one in my Jeep. Pain in the neck to clean and oil, next time it needs a cleaning I'm tossing it and going paper.

    Paper Filter

After market not worth it to me. I check it at oil change and replace with paper filter if needed.
