    SLP IAT module?

    I saw this advertised on slp's website

    i'm not really sure what it does or how it can gain you 5 hp. does anyone have any info about this, or have used this themselves?

    It tricks your computer into thinking the air is colder than it is. IAT temp is part of the way the computer determines fueling and timing.
    Also tricking you if you ever datalog it.

    I can't see how this is a good thing.

    thanks for the link and the info guys. after reading the writeup on install university it seems this at best does nothing, and at worst can harm the car. definately not worth it in my opinion. and anyway, here in NY it's actually COLDER than 57 degrees outside now and wont get warmer than that until like may, so mother nature can give me some extra hp.
